The most important points are:

Swelling and redness

Appearance of crusts

Itching in the area

Sensitivity in the scalp

Small pimples or acne in the receiving area or uneven texture

Temporary hair loss (shock loss)

What to expect at 3 months?

The hair implant at 3 months marks an important moment in the hair recovery process. During this phase, several significant changes occur:

✔ Hair is usually fine, soft, and less pigmented than the original hair.

✔ Visible crusts or redness have disappeared.

✔ The transplanted area and donor have healed well, with minimal signs of grafting.

✔ The texture of the scalp may feel a little different.

✔ The density is not significant until several additional months later.

✔ It is possible and normal to experience sensations like numbness or a little itching.

Remember that everyone experiences the process slightly differently, depending on individual factors, the technique used, and postoperative care.

Hair transplant recovery process vary in every patient.

Next months after the hair transplant

After the third month of hair surgery, the transplanted hair growth is significant. The hair will become thicker. From 5 or 6 months you will start to see more obvious results, and in some areas, hair may look thinner than in others.

Between 8-10 months the coverage is greater, and the texture is usually more aligned with the original hair, its appearance is more consistent.

The final result is seen from 12 months onwards. New hair growth reaches its maximum potential, and looks completely natural. It’s the moment that the patient was waiting for!

Hair transplant results in a patient at Capilea Mexico.

If you are considering a hair transplant procedure and have doubts about the process, I can help you solve them.
